A summons from the sanctum
=SUMMON(Apprentice, "Xcelterra")
Wizzy Rangewood, Grand Mage of the Sanctum, has named you his apprentice. The Mage Trials begin in Cellshire, and your spellbook is a spreadsheet.
XCELWIZARD teaches Microsoft Excel through a magical-academy story: enchant data, cast validation wards, and duel chaos with formulas. The demo is free. Sign in with Google to play.

The covenant of the academy
Three promises that hold up the Sanctum. Break any of them and the academy collapses.
Pillar I
The Dual-View Engine. Cast spells in Wizzy's chamber, then flip to the real Excel grid and watch your incantation written as a formula. What you learn here, you use at work tomorrow.
Pillar II
VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, validation wards, relearned as incantations you actually remember. No fake mechanics. The magic is the formula.
Pillar III
Pillars (columns), pathways (rows), chambers (cells). Wizzy teaches the grid like a language, by the end of Module I you can call any address by name, the way wizards name stars.
Wizzy's signature engine
Every action you take in Wizzy's chamber is also happening in a real Excel grid behind the curtain. Toggle the Lens of Truth at any time to see your spell as a formula. Toggle back to keep casting.
Defenders of the realm
Grand Mage of the Sanctum
Your master. Wizzy summoned you to represent the Sanctum at the Mage Trials in Cellshire. He'll teach you the language of the grid (pillars, pathways, chambers) and how to bend Excel to your will.
Knight Commander of Cellshire
Steel-clad guardian of the City Gates. When chaos breaches the wall, he marshals validation wards and refugee rosters at the registration desk. Pass his trial of formulas and he names you Champion of the Sheet.
…and many more souls of Xcelterra yet to be summoned.

About the academy
XCELWIZARD is built by a tiny team that believes spreadsheets are the most underrated game engine in the world. Every cell is a tile, every formula a spell, every workbook an adventure waiting to be earned.
We're crafting the kind of learning game we wish we'd had: patient, beautiful, and proud of what it teaches.
